Hiking trip to Kellerjoch in the Tuxer Alps is a moderately difficult mountain hike with short passages secured by wire ropes on the Kellerjoch, apart from that sure-footedness and a head for heights are essentially required.
Due to the advanced and promising position on the edge of the Inn Valley, you feel surrounded by a gigantic photo wallpaper on the round trip over the Kuhmesser and the Kellerjoch. This fantastic panorama stretches from the Bavarian Prealps to the Zillertal, from the Kaiser Mountains via Rofan and Karwendel to the Stubai and Lechtal, which can be viewed and absorbed not only from the summit, but also and particularly comfortably from the terrace of the Kellerjoch hut. From here the last mile up to the famous Kellerjoch chapel (2344 m).
Only about 1000 meters of altitude uphill, but nevertheless quite challenging due to multitude heavy photo / drone backpacks. Most of the photographs have only been possible after several hours of mountain hike starting already in the very early morning with headlights – with no exceeption a good invest to get these really cool shots.
The magic of this trip resulted from the combination of this autumnal scenery with its gorgeous colors, the given perfect shooting conditions and the imposing panoramic surroundings – nearly the complete adventure took place in pure nature in a totally deserted place in the mountains …
